It is one of the few places on earth where the air is as fresh and clean as it was thousands of years ago. The wind constantly removes pollution and bacteria, and this climate is not conducive to the growth of viruses.
This place seems to be the healthiest place on earth. But why doesn't anyone want to live there? Because this place is too cold. With temperatures that can drop to -100 Fahrenheit, the South Pole is too cold for even bacteria.
The state of some churches is similar to that kind of clean climate. God's truth is preached, the Bible is carefully quoted, error is absent. But there is no obedience or love, and the spiritual temperature is below zero. The poor have no place (James 2:2-6). People who are weak in faith are invited to debate (Romans 14:1). Brothers and sisters in Christ are ostracized because they pose a threat to certain groups that already feel compatible with one another (2 John 1:5-10). Because they are not greeted and loved, many people leave the church.
The Church is shaped by Christ's redeeming love and is designed to be a warm fellowship that attracts many people! Our desire is not only to be "free of bacteria," but to let God create a climate where brothers and sisters can open their hearts to His love -- HGB
