IF NO ONE ATTENTION

Whatever you do, do it with all your heart as to God and not to man (Colossians 3:23)

In my kitchen hangs a poster that reads, "Housework is something you do, but that no one else notices unless you don't do it."

The truth behind this statement does not only apply to household chores. People seem to only notice our failures--anger, impatience, criticism, or self-pity. However, has anyone noticed when by God's grace, we are able to fix it? We feel like no one notices or appreciates it. Sometimes it may be so, but there is one compelling fact: God sees and He appreciates!

The above facts can be a source of relief for us. According to the Apostle Paul, ultimately we serve Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:17, 23-24). We must serve Him with an attitude of gratitude (verse 17) and wholeheartedly (verse 23). God not only sees and appreciates our actions, but will also reward us (verse 24).

Hudson Taylor, the great missionary in China, believed that Christians should do everything with their heart, not just the things people care about. He reasoned, "Just as our Father creates flowers in a deserted desert that go unnoticed, so [let] we do what we can in His watchful eye even if no other eye sees it."

Remember, Someone is watching us! -- JEY

DON'T LIVE TO GET PRAISE FROM MAN,
BUT DO EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF JESUS
