ONLY ONE DOOR

I am the door; whoever enters through me will be saved (John 10:9)

An Old Testament scholar named Sir George Adam Smith said that when he visited the Holy Land, he saw a shepherd and his sheep standing in front of the fort. There is no visible door there. There, what appeared was only a hole the size of a human body.

Smith then asked the shepherd why there was no door there. The shepherd explained, "I am the entrance. I am standing in the hole, and the sheep passing below me enter the fort. When they are all inside safely, then I will lie across at the hole. No thief will be able to enter. and also no sheep can come out except through my body. I am the way in. "

We are like sheep in need of a Shepherd (1 Peter 2:25). For the entrance to heaven, a place of eternal happiness, Jesus made this amazing statement: "I am the door to the sheep. . . . Whoever enters through me will be saved" (John 10:7-9). Those who heard Him at that time did not imagine a wooden door hanging on hinges. They understood that He was really saying, "I am the entrance to the house of God." He can claim Himself to be the way to eternal happiness, the special way to the glory of God, because He is the Son of God.

Jesus is the only way to heaven (John 14:6). We can enter there only if we put our faith in Him —VCG

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO HELL
BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN
