The basis of your word is truth and all your righteous laws are forever (Psalm 119:160)
Have you ever noticed that unrighteous things are constantly happening before us in a never-ending stream of depravity? Daniel Webster (1782-1852) foresaw this when he said, "If the truth is not preached, things will go wrong. If God and His Word are not known and accepted, evil spirits and all their works will rule. If books -books about spreading the Good News do not reach the small hamlets, then books that are destructive and immoral will enter there. If the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the land...evil and darkness will reign."
Therefore, we must state the truth. Truth is found in the teaching of God's Word. The Psalmist said, "The foundation of Your word is truth and all Your just laws are forever" (Psalm 119:160). This timeless truth is needed in our world today. For example, we must state the truth that as sinners we need God's forgiveness (1 John 1:6-7). We must declare the truth that Jesus is the only Savior (John 14:6).
With various misleading readings and TV shows running out of control, we must speak the truth, uphold the truth, and live by the truth.
