As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9)
On the campus of Ohio University stands an eye-catching building known as the "Wexler Arts Center." Ravi Zacharias, a Christian lecturer, describes the building as a prominent example of "random asymmetrical design, with endless staircases, and pillars that do not serve as links between levels, but stand in the air."
Why do people erect such absorptive structures? Zacharias explains that the building is a symbol of the reality of how the wicked see it -- as something irrational and unrelated to one another.
Without faith in God and the recognition of His plan as revealed in the Bible, life can become something that seems meaningless. As Shakespeare put it in his play Macbeth, "Stories told by fools seem great and wonderful, but are really just nonsense."
However, when we look at our history and life experiences from the perspective of the Bible, life becomes meaningful. Divine design can be a means for the Great Architect to reveal His intentions, both for the world and His church (Ephesians 1:3-3:19).
By following Christ and reading His word, we will find a glimpse of the divine plan of redemption of His wisdom, love, and power. We may not be able to understand everything, but we can trust that everything is perfectly understandable within the framework of His eternal plan -- VCG
