MYSTERIOUS EQUATION

God shows His love for us, because Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8)

Professor John Nash of Princeton University is a genius in mathematics. He spent his entire life indulging in the abstract world of numbers, equations -- and fantasy. In fact, Nash suffers from schizophrenia, a mental illness that can cause strange behavior and disrupt relationships with others. With medical help and the love of his wife, he learned to live with his illness and eventually won a Nobel Prize.

In the film about his life, Nash says, "I've always believed in numbers, equations, and logic that lead to answers.... The quest has taken me through the physical, metaphysical, imaginary, and back again. And I've made the most important discoveries in life. my life. All logical reasons can only be answered in the mysterious equation of love."

In Colossians 1, we read of the "mysterious equation of love" at its deepest level, namely, God's love for us in Christ. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, and because of love, He has created and nourished us (verses 16,17). He has also provided deliverance from the powers of darkness (verse 13) and forgiveness for our sins (verse 14). It is not surprising that Paul said that such love “passes all knowledge” (Ephesians 3:19). That love takes us beyond reason to a true understanding of God (1 John 4:16).

We have to live in it and show that love, all the time --Dennis De Haan

GOD'S LOVE CANNOT BE EXPLAINED
GOD'S LOVE CAN ONLY BE EXPERIENCED
