Many people have been richly blessed through what they learned from their mothers. For example, John and Charles Wesley. Perhaps their names would never appear in history were it not for their pious mother. Their mother taught them that the law of love and Christian witness should be the guide of their daily lives.
Susannah Wesley spends one hour each day praying for her 17 children. Every week he also takes each child in turn to discuss spiritual matters for one hour. It is not surprising that John and Charles were used by God to bring blessings to the whole world.
Here are some rules that Susannah Wesley applied in educating her children: Reduce the ego in a child and work together with God. Teach him to pray as soon as he can speak. Don't give him anything he wants when he whines for it. Give him what is good for him when he politely asks for it. In order not to lie, do not punish him when he admits his fault honestly; but never silence rebellion and wrongdoing just like that. Praise and appreciate good behavior. Hold fast to every promise you have made to your children.
