BEE DANCE

Come, see the man who told me all the things I have done (John 4:29)

How do bees signal the presence of nectar? Scientists say that the secret is the "wiggle" dance. This theory was viewed with skepticism when it was first proposed by a Nobel-winning zoologist, Karl von Frisch in the 1960s. But now, researchers in the UK have used a small radar receiver attached to the body of worker bees to support von Frisch's theory. They claim the bee directs its body toward the food source and uses the intensity of its "wiggle" dance to tell other bees the distance to the food source.

The woman who met Jesus at Jacob's well also found a way to bring those around her to what she had found, namely living water (John 4:10). They are interested in knowing why a woman -- who has been married five times and who is currently with her is not her husband -- says, "Come, see the man who told me all the things I did" (v. 29).

As the crowd of Samaritans drew near, He who on another occasion called Himself "the bread of life" (6:48) told His disciples that his food was to do God's will (4:32,34).

Jesus is living water and food for our souls. Togetherness with Jesus to do God's will and complete the work He has given us is the main source of food --MRDII

May your testimony be clear and loud,
For the world to see and hear
That God has provided salvation,
So that others can also know Him. --Hess
