Because all those whom He chose from the beginning, they were also predestined by Him to be conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29)
Most women have been made jealous of the photo of a famous movie star gracing the front cover of a famous magazine. The actress appears in the photo as if she has perfect beauty.
However, the editor of another magazine revealed the story behind it: that a photo agent who took the actress's picture had been paid more than three million rupiah by the first-mentioned magazine above for their expertise in photography which can "cleanse the skin, smooth out wrinkles in the eyes, smooth out wrinkles in the face caused by pulling the lips, adding color to the lips, giving lines to decorate the chin,...adjusting the coloring and adding hair on top of the head." So, no matter how beautiful the actress is, she still needs something -- however small -- to hide a flaw that will quickly destroy her image as the "ideal" actress.
That is a picture of the human spiritual condition! Everyone has a weakness when faced with the moral goodness of Christ (Romans 3:23). However good we may appear, we need more than spiritual ornaments to hide our sins. We need purification of the soul through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, God gives us perfect justification. Since then, He has worked within us through the Holy Spirit to mold us into what He wants us to be.
