Do you want to be a rich person? Do you think your faith will make you a rich man? What kind of wealth are you really looking for?
There is good news as well as bad news that you should know if you want wealth. The good news is that God's word does promise wealth to believers. Meanwhile, the "bad" news is that wealth has nothing to do with money.
The following are examples of some of the riches we can have as believers in Jesus Christ.
• Understanding of God the Father and the Son, "because in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:2,3).
• Christ, the “hope of glory,” who lives in us (Colossians 1:27).
• Extraordinary inner strength, "by His Spirit" (Ephesians 3:16).
• The fulfillment of all our needs by God (Philippians 4:19).
• "The wisdom and knowledge of God" (Romans 11:33).
• "By His blood we have redemption, which is the forgiveness of sins." That redemption came from the grace of God (Ephesians 1:7).
Yes, God's word does promise us great riches. Wealth is a treasure that we cannot buy with any amount of money. That is the wealth that we should seek, enjoy, and use to glorify its source, namely our heavenly Father -JDB
