As a father loves his children, so God loves those who fear him (Psalm 103:13)
Several mothers with young children shared encouraging answers to prayer. One mother admitted that she felt selfish if she bothered God with her needs. "Compared with the needs of all people that God faces," he explained, "my situation must seem insignificant to Him."
Moments later, the mother's son ran screaming because his finger was caught in the door. She didn't say, "How selfishly you bothered Mom with your sore finger when I was busy!" No, instead he showed great compassion and tenderness.
Psalm 103:13 reminds us that it is a response of love, shown by both God and humans. In Isaiah 49, God says that even if a mother forgets her child, God will not forget His children (verse 15). God assures His people, "I have engraved you on the palms of My hands" (v. 16).
Such intimacy with God is only possessed by those who fear Him, who rely on God and not on themselves. Just like a child with a sore finger runs to his mother freely, so we can run to God with all our daily problems.
Our compassionate God does not neglect others just because He cares for you. He has unlimited time and love for each of His children. There is no human need that He takes for granted --JEY
