Since childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures that can give you wisdom and lead you to salvation through faith (2 Timothy 3:15)
Every Christmas, I give my two daughters a "Mommy box." Each box contains things that can encourage them to be the best mothers. The contents can be craft or special project books, devotional books or tapes for young mothers, first aid kits, recipes for cooking with the kids -- and often include something as personal as a bubble bath for a little after-care pampering. through a tiring day as a mother! It had become a tradition that Rosemary and Tanya had looked forward to every year for the last decade or so.
We can start encouraging our children to be good parents. The best way is to start equipping them with the word of God when they are young.
The Apostle Paul wrote that "from childhood" Timothy had known the "Holy Scriptures" (2 Timothy 3:15). And, 2 Timothy 1:5 mentions Timothy's mother and grandmother had "sincere faith". Diligent teaching and spiritual example helped Timothy to become a godly person.
The Bible is the richest resource that can help us raise children so they will know and love Jesus. There is nothing more important than the "Holy Bible" that can be used to equip them to face all of life's challenges.
