CHRISTMAS STORY

[Jesus] emptied Himself, and took the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7
)

If a king loved his poor servant," began the Danish philosopher, Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855). How did the king express his love for the servant? it loves him sincerely.

Then the king, who realized that he could not appear as a king if he did not want to destroy the freedom of his loved ones, decided to become a commoner. He left his throne, took off his robes of greatness, and put on tattered camping clothes. It is not just a disguise, but really has a new identity. He really became a servant to charm the heart of the young servant he loved.

It's like a bet. The maid might love him, or even reject him completely so he won't get his love for life! But so is the choice that God gives to humans, and of course, that is the meaning of the parable above.

Our Lord humbled Himself to win our hearts. "Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied himself" (Philippians 2:5-7). This is the Christmas story: God is in the manger; He incarnated in a form that did not frighten anyone.

Now the question is: Will we love Him, or will we reject Him? -DHR

GOD LIVES WITH HUMANS
SO THAT MAN CAN LIVE WITH GOD
