ABOVE ALL NAMES

You will name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21)

If you knew for certain that you would lose your voice and never be able to speak again, what would be the last words you would say?

A man with throat cancer is about to undergo surgery that will save his life, but he will lose his voice. Just before the surgery, he spent some time with his wife to express his love for her. He did the same for his daughter.

Then, he asked the doctor who was treating him to tell him exactly when the anesthetic would make him unconscious. As the man lay down quietly to sleep, he then said very clearly, "Jesus! Jesus!" Those were the last words he chose to speak in this life -- "Jesus!"

How much does the name Jesus mean to us? Other names, such as the names of those we love, clearly mean a lot. However, for us who are redeemed by God's grace, the name Jesus is the name that means the most. It is the same for our heavenly Father. The Father "highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess, 'Jesus Christ is Lord,' to the glory of God the Father!" (Philippians 2:9-11).

Throughout the rest of our lives and forever, let us glorify the miraculous name, namely Jesus --VCG

THE NAME OF JESUS IS VERY PRECIOUS TO THEM
WHO KNOW HIM AND DO NOT MEAN TO THOSE WHO REJECT HIM
