Look around you and see the fields that are yellow and ripe for harvest (John 4:35)
I am not an expert when it comes to growing flowers. But I have learned to understand the difference between annuals and seasonal flowers. Every spring, I usually buy trays of annuals. The plant takes root immediately when planted in the ground. Their short lives were always ended by a frost in the fall, and the ground was barren until planting in the spring of the following year. I prefer to plant flowers all seasons. They continue to live from year to year, and regularly bloom, flower, and reproduce again.
Author Eugene Harrison described believers' evangelistic efforts in the New Testament as having an "every season" nature. They do not devote all their energies to the evangelistic effort once a year. On the other hand, according to Harrison, sharing the good news about Christ is "every believer's greatest concern, every day of the year, everywhere." In Acts 5:42 and 8:4, the scope of their testimony is clear: They testified of Christ and the gospel in their temples, homes, and marketplaces using the Holy Spirit-given method of preaching, teaching, and bearing personal testimony.
Jesus taught that the season for spiritual harvest is always today (John 4:35). And the Apostle Paul said that “today is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Rest assured, we never reap in the wrong season, because the fields are turning yellow today .
