I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13)
Most people have a calendar or agenda book to record the details of the work to be done. A Christian friend of mine uses his agenda in a different way. It only records the main activities after everything has been done.
This is what he does: Every morning he prays, “Lord, I will do everything in Your power alone. Use me according to Your will.” Then, every time he managed to complete an extraordinary or difficult job, that night he wrote it down in his diary.
For example, he wrote, “Today I was enabled to share a testimony with a friend.” “Today God enabled me to overcome my fears through faith.” "Today I was empowered to help and encourage someone who is in trouble."
My friend used the term able because he realized that he could not do all that without God's help. Every time he writes the word "able", he gives all the glory to God. By continually relying on the strength of God, he could testify with the Apostle Paul, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).
As you enter each new day, ask God to strengthen and use you. You can be sure that when you look back, you will praise and glorify God for realizing that He was the one who enabled you to do all of this --Joanie Yoder
