When he, the Spirit of Truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth (John 16:13)
While in London, I enjoyed my first trip on a double-decker bus. During an enjoyable two hour trip, I was given an explanation of the various famous places and history of the city. I was amazed at everything I had seen before, but had never noticed. I was also amazed to hear the incredible stories about characters, from Lord Horatio Nelson to William Shakespeare. The route chosen and the clear views gave me a new perspective on the city.
This experience reminded me that there is something new to learn in every place, especially when we have a guide. Several years ago, a friend encouraged me to read the entire Bible every year. Every time I do it, the Holy Spirit shows me new things through famous passages.
Jesus spoke of the Spirit of Truth, "He will lead you into all truth; for he will not speak on his own account, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will tell you these things. who is to come. He will glorify me, because he will tell you what he has received from me” (John 16:13-14).
It is wonderful to look forward to what we will learn from the Bible each day. As we read each page, the Holy Spirit is eager to show us something new that will meet our needs. Enjoy a guided tour by the Spirit of God that will light up your life -DCM
