God has done great things for us, so we rejoice. Those who sow with tears will reap with joy (Psalm 126:3,5)
I heard Chuck Colson say in a television interview that he cannot forget the joy and peace he experienced when he surrendered to Jesus Christ .
Many of us can remember well the moving moments because God answered our prayers in an extraordinary way. We often make those moments an experience above all experiences.
However, this life is also marked by darkness and hardship. At such times we can be encouraged by reflecting on the past and using this experience as strength to face the future with confidence. We can be strengthened that God, who once helped us, will surely help us right now.
We pay attention to today's Bible reading. After recalling the joy that the Israelites experienced when God led them with His miraculous hand, the psalmist again asked for God's mercy.
In this case, the psalmist uses two expressions to express the help he hopes for. The first phrase is that a dry stream of water can suddenly overflow with heavy rain (Psalm 126:4). The second expression concerns the fruit that results from the process of sowing and reaping which takes a long time and takes a long time (Psalm 126:5-6).
God's past faithfulness assures us that He will also meet all our needs in the future. This is what should be remembered -- HVL
