LEARN FOR LIFE

Try to be worthy before God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, who frankly proclaims the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)

If you want to become one of the official taxi drivers in London, now there are almost 24,000 people, be prepared to learn a lot. The only way to drive well there is to master The Blue Book, the only driving manual that can be completed in 2 to 4 years. Indeed, a trained taxi driver only takes a few minutes to take you from one place to another. But to know how you can do that, you have to study for years.

Apostle Paul reminded the young Timothy about the importance of studying the word of God (2 Timothy 3:14-17), and about teaching others diligently and earnestly (2:15). The purpose is not just to learn about Christ, but also to live like Christ. Paul writes, "Therefore avoid the lusts of the young, pursue justice, faithfulness, love and peace together with those who cry out to God with a pure heart. Avoid searching questions, which are foolish and unworthy. You know that those questions cause arguments" (verses 22,23).

Today, and every day, let us study God's word diligently and with a clear purpose. Let us take a moment to pray that what we learn will result in behavior that honors God, that can bring others to Christ. We will never know the best route to follow if we never take to the streets -DCM

STUDY THE HOLY BIBLE NOT TO MASTER IT
BUT TO SEARCH FOR LIFE GUIDELINES
