They find no excuse or fault, because he is faithful (Daniel 6:4)
The story in the Bible about Daniel in the lion's den is very popular with children. In addition, this story can also provide a very valuable lesson for all of us. Let's look back at the faith of a godly man named Daniel.
Praying is a lifelong task. Daniel was at least 80 years old when this event occurred. However, the Scriptures state that he always prayed and thanked God "three times a day...as he always did (verse 11). Daniel prayed diligently throughout his life--starting from his youth in Jerusalem and for 65 years in Babylon .
Loyalty is an undeniable testimony! When Daniel was thrown into the lion's den, Darius said, "Your God, whom you worship diligently, is the one who released you!" (verse 17). Daniel's belief in God is a testimony known to everyone (verses 1-4), including the king who wants everyone to worship him and not God.
God values loyalty! Daniel was saved "because he believed in his God" (verse 24). As a result, the king called for all his people to believe in the God that Daniel worshiped. And, Daniel continued to succeed during the reign of Darius (verse 29).
