IMPROVES BODY SHAPE

We all reflect the glory of God... we are changed into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18)

A woman visits a diet center to lose weight. The leader led him to a full-length mirror. In the mirror he drew a figure and said to the woman, "I want you to look like this at the end of the program."

Days of strict diet and exercise followed, and every week the woman would stand in front of the mirror. He was discouraged because his body shape did not match the leader's standards. But he kept at it, and finally one day his body became the image he wanted.

If we put ourselves next to the perfect character of Christ, we will see how bad our "body shape" is. Being changed into His image does not mean we achieve sinless perfection. It means we become complete and mature.

God often works through suffering to make this happen (James 1:2-4). Sometimes He uses the painful consequences of our sins. At other times, our difficulties may not be caused by any sin, but we still go through the painful process of learning to obey the Father's will.

Are you injured? Maybe there is currently a process of forming a body in you. Jesus was perfect, but He still had to learn to obey through the things He suffered (Hebrews 5:8).

If you continue to trust Jesus, you will continue to grow in the image of His beauty -DJD
