MANAGE YOUR MIND

Rejoice always in the Lord! Again I say: Rejoice! (Philippians 4: 4)

Several years ago I read a story about a 92 year old Christian woman who was blind. Despite his physical limitations, he is always well-dressed. Her hair was always neatly combed and she was dressed very beautifully. Every morning he welcomes a new day with enthusiasm.

After her husband died at the age of 70, the woman felt the need to move to a nursing home to receive proper care. On the day he moved, a kind neighbor took him to the nursing home and led him to the waiting room. Since his room had not been prepared, he waited in the waiting room patiently for several hours.

When finally an officer came to pick her up, she smiled sweetly as she pointed her walker towards the elevator. The clerk described the state of his room to him, including the new curtains that had been put on his window. "I like it," said the blind woman. "But Miss Jones, you haven't seen your room," said the clerk. "It has no effect on me," he said. “Happiness is a choice. Whether I like my room or not, it doesn't depend on how my room is arranged. It depends on how I organize my thoughts.”

The Bible says, "Rejoice in the Lord always!" (Philippians 4: 4). Always remember all that Jesus has done for you and be grateful. That's how you should organize your mind -David Roper
