So you are no longer a slave, but a child; and if children, then heirs; heirs of God (Galatians 4: 7)
There is an ancient story about a man named Astyages who intends to kill an infant prince named Cyrus. Then he called a soldier around his house and told him to kill the baby. The soldier then handed the baby over to a shepherd and told him to go up and put the baby on the mountain to die of cold.
But the shepherd and his wife took the baby and took care of it like their own. Having been brought up in a simple farming family, he thought that they were his real parents. He was not aware of the royal blood and royal bloodline that was in him. Because he thought he was a poor farmer, he lived like a farmer.
Many Christians do not realize that they are the heirs of the king. Yet they have the right of inheritance through Christ. They lived like poor spiritual farmers when they should have lived as kings. According to the Apostle Paul, believers “are children of God by faith in Jesus Christ” (Galatians 3:26). He also said, “And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out: 'Abba, O Father.' So you are no longer slaves, but children; if you are sons, you are also heirs through God” (4:6,7)
God has given us everything we need to live full of victory and abundance. Don't live like a "poor farmer" -RWD
