MESSAGE FROM THE SKY

The heavens declare the glory of God (Psalm 19: 2)

The current world population has reached more than 6.6 billion people. And, depending on the area we live in, enjoying moments of silence while gazing at the calm sky at night becomes increasingly difficult for us to feel. However, according to the words of the writer of Psalm 19, if we can sneak into a place where we can only hear the sound of our own heartbeats and look up at the stars scattered in the sky, we can hear the message from the sky.

On such occasions, we can hear with the ear of our conscience the wordless testimony of God's fascinating creation.

We can hear the heavens "telling the glory of God" (verse 2). We too can watch with amazement as the firmament "preachs the work of His hands" (verse 2).

We can listen when “day goes on the news to day” that fills our minds with an awareness that cannot possibly be confused about God’s very extraordinary creation (verse 3).

We can admire the dark night when the sky reveals the handiwork of God with its undoubted beauty (verses 2,3).

Our Creator declared, "Be still and know that I am God!" (Psalm 46:11). The best way to do this is to spend time in His creation admiring the work of His hands. Next, we will know for sure that He is God! --JDB
