God gives wisdom, from His mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6)
Voltaire said, "General knowledge is not necessarily understood by society." He's right! In a society that enjoys making trouble, we are inundated with warnings on various products, mainly because some people don't have general knowledge. Read the following instructions.
On a hairdryer: Do not use it while sleeping.
On the iron: Do not iron clothes while wearing them.
On chainsaws: Do not try to stop the moving chain with your hands.
On the iron: Do not iron clothes while wearing them.
On chainsaws: Do not try to stop the moving chain with your hands.
General knowledge can be learned from experiences or teachings we receive from people we trust. However, the word of God is the best source of all knowledge if we are to develop proper wisdom and judgment.
There are three words that continue to echo throughout the book of Proverbs: wisdom, knowledge, insight. God has filled this book with common knowledge.
Proverbs 11:12 advises on self -control, "A man of understanding holdeth his peace."
Proverbs 17:27 warns, "He that hath knowledge spareth his words; and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit."
