KNOWING GOD PERSONALLY

He has introduced His ways to Moses, His deeds to the Israelites (Psalm 103:7)

Most Christians would rather see God perform great miracles than have fellowship with Him, and know His ways.

Today's verse says that God introduced His great deeds to the Israelites, but to Moses He "introduced His ways". Exodus 33 records a great crisis where Moses humbly prayed, "If I find favor in your sight, show me your way" (verse 13). He wants to know God and His plans for His people more than seeing another great miracle. It is not surprising that God speaks to Him "as a man speaks to his friend" (verse 11).

In interpreting the difference between the way and the deed, FB Meyer writes, “The way, or plan, is only made known to the inner circle of saints; the ordinary congregation knows only His deeds.”

A gifted friend of mine, Jennifer, understands this difference after spending several years in a wheelchair. One day she prayed while crying, "Lord, I would have done so much for You if only I was healthy." And he heard God's answer clearly, "Many people work for me, but only a few are willing to be my friends."

If you want to know God on a personal level more than your longing to see His great miracles, you will be satisfied -JEY

KNOWING GOD MEANS NOT JUST SEEING
HIS DEEDS BUT ALSO UNDERSTAND HIS WAYS
