Because God's love for this world is so great, that He has given His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16)
A computer virus called "The Love Bug" spread around the world via e-mail, infecting millions of computers in less than 24 hours. It seems that even vigilantes like well-known software builders can't resist the temptation to open a message titled "I Love You."
Some analysts say that the devastating success of the computer virus, in addition to revealing the frailty of machines in our cyber world, also reveals the deep longing of the human heart. Deep down in the human heart, everyone on this planet earth is looking for love.
It is not a coincidence that one of the famous verses in the Bible is John 3:16. This verse reads, "Because God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
Could it be that the love we long for the most is the love of Allah? Is Jesus Christ the special Person we long to seek, who can bring us to our knees? If so, then acceptance of God's love in Christ can change our lives in many extraordinary ways. Hope, peace, and passion for life -- all spring from the love of Jesus.
When God says, "I love you", that's the message we've been looking for. That message can change our lives. How did you respond to Him today? --David McCasland
