If we glance at certain newspapers, we will find that modern life is still influenced by the ancient practice of astrology. Guests on casual talk shows on television discuss their astrological signs with the same calmness they talk about their divorce. At the event they offered the services of astrologers over the phone at a cost of around eight thousand five rupiah per minute. An American president's wife even consulted an astrologer for advice in arranging her husband's travel schedule.
As a young man, Agustine (354-430) consulted an astrologer. But several years later he opposed the practice. Since astrology assumes that the position of the stars at the time we are born determines our personality and even our lives, Agustine asks, "Why in twins' lives -- actions, events that happen to them, work, art, awards and other things. which concerns human life, even up to their death, often there is such a great difference? When all this is taken into account, it is precisely others who are more like them than among themselves."
Our lives are not determined by the dead stars, but by God who created the stars and us. He has opened to us through the Bible about the way of our life in Jesus Christ -- HWR
