SEARCH AND GET

If you seek it as you seek silver, and pursue it as you pursue hidden treasures, then you will ... gain the knowledge of God (Proverbs 2: 4,5)

Justin Martyr is a 2nd century man who longs to find the truth. He read the books of classical Greek writers, studied and analyzed every philosophy from all angles. He seeks understanding, especially answers to his longing for sexual purity. However, his efforts were in vain. He wrote, “Eventually, unfaithfulness will emerge, and sooner or later will betray love.”

One day, he was wandering aimlessly along the beach, and met an old man whose words touched the heart. No one had ever said anything like that to him. The man introduced God to him through Jesus Christ. With that simple testimony, Justin got the knowledge he had been looking for all his life, namely “the knowledge of God” (Proverbs 2:4,5).

Maybe like Justin, you too are looking everywhere for the answers you long for the truth. You've read a lot and thought hard about life, but couldn't find an answer that satisfies the deepest needs of your soul. If so, read the Gospels, the first four books of the New Testament. When reading it, cry out to Allah, so that he may be given understanding. He will hear you, and you will come to know God through Jesus Christ (John 17:3).

God does not impose truth on those who do not want it. However, He heard the cries of those who earnestly asked for it. Jesus said, "Ask, and ye shall receive" (John 16:24) -David Roper
