HE IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL

Your faithfulness from generation to generation (Psalm 119: 90)

Jim and Carol Cymbala kept on praying, praising, and preaching despite two sad years for their family. Their teenage daughter, Chrissy, has turned away from the God they love and serve so faithfully. Despite their broken hearts, Jim and Carol continued their ministry to the congregation of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in New York.

Some people think that Carol wrote the song called "She Was Always Faithful" after her daughter's dramatic conversion. However, it didn't. He wrote the song before the incident. Carol called the song "a song of hope created in the midst of my suffering." When her heart was broken, Carol said her songs "calm my soul, and strengthen me time and time again". The lyrics he wrote at such a difficult time have helped him to keep going. Even though her daughter has not been converted, Carol can still praise His faithful love in her life.

Some time later, as Chrissy returned home and knelt to beg for forgiveness from her parents, the truth written in Psalm 119: 90 became so real in Carol's eyes.
God's faithfulness will not only appear to our descendants, but from generation to generation! Carol has a new experience as stated in the lyrics of her song that has blessed many people: "What I thought was impossible, now I have seen God do it!" --Julie Link
