What if we do not believe in God and instead accept the theory of evolution that rejects God? Just imagine, if only we had an atheistic view of life. A Cornell University biologist, William Provine, stated in a public debate, that if you are a staunch supporter of Darwin's theory, then you will realize that there is no life after death, no fundamental basis of ethics, no ultimate goal of our existence, there is no free will. Life will be empty.
Instead of holding on to that gloomy unbelief, we can open our hearts and minds to believe in God as He has revealed Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. Our sins can be forgiven because of His death on the cross. This not only assures us of a blessed eternity, but also makes our lives now and here have immeasurable meaning and hope. Thanks to the Holy Spirit in us, we can know that Jesus' words in John 8:12 are true: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." "
As we go on this worldly pilgrimage, do not let us stumble into the darkness of unbelief. Instead, we can walk confidently in the light toward eternal holiness that never ends. That is the difference created by faith in Jesus Christ -VCG
