NOTE OF OUR SIN

If You, O Lord, remember the faults, Lord, who can endure? (Psalm 130: 3)

From the depths of the abyss, "the psalmist cried out to God (Psalm 130: 1).
"If Thou, O Lord, remember rest faults, O Lord, who can endure?" (verse 3).

However, praise God, God forgives. He does not keep a record of past sins, no matter how many or how sad they are. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Romans 8: 1). God's forgiveness makes us fear Him (Psalm 130: 4). We worship and glorify God, because of the grace and forgiveness that make us love Him more.

However, what if we slip again into old sins? What if the sin is still there? We must repent and "wait on the Lord" (Psalm 130: 5). And, be patient when God works. We are not hopelessly sick people. We can "hope" in the One who will deliver us on His time.

We know these two certainties: God's love never fails, that is, that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13: 5). And, God's promise of total redemption will last in due time - He will redeem us from all our transgressions (Psalm 130: 8), and then lead us to His glory without spot and full of joy (Jude 24).

We are forgiven! We are free! With the psalmist, let us worship God as we await His coming --DHR
