I give you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also should love one another (John 13:34)
Tracy Morrow, who is usually nicknamed the Ice-T, is very lively in his appearance as a sloppy singer who brings pornographic songs and insults to God. Under the guidance of two notorious gangs in Los Angeles, The Crips and The Bloods, he managed to write a sentimental song that became famous: "Gotta Lotta Love" (Getting Love Full).
Orphaned since childhood and raised in an environment that only sees him as a burden, Ice-T experiences almost no love. "I understand the meaning of the word love the first time in a gang," he told the interviewer. "I learned how to love in a gang, not in a family."
No matter how small or wrong the love we know in childhood, it's never too late for us to learn how to love. With God's power we can feel that love through other people and supportive groups (even if it's a gang!). But to learn the true meaning of love, we need to look to Calvary's cross. "By this we know the love of Christ, that he laid down his life for us" (1 John 3:16). The death of Jesus with all His sacrifices has shown the height and depth of love.
We will understand better how to love when we can reflect on how much God loves us and when we trust Him as our Lord and Savior -- VCG
WE CAN LEARN ABOUT THE REAL MEANING OF LOVE BY LOOKING AT HOW GREAT JESUS LOVES US
