ELIMINATED

Even if my flesh and my heart perish, my rock and my portion will remain God forever (Psalm 73:26)

David fled Jerusalem, driven out of the house by his son, Absalom, who had gathered an army to support him. In his escape, he ordered Zadok, his priest, to bring the ark of God back to Jerusalem and lead his people to worship God there. "If I find grace in the eyes of God, then He will allow me to return, so that I will see him again, also his dwelling place. But if He says, like this: I do not please you, then I am ready, let him do to me what he wants good in His sight" (2Samuel 15:25,26).

Perhaps, like David, you have lost the power to set your pace. Someone has taken over your life, or so it seems.

Perhaps you are worried that changes in circumstances and people have destroyed all your plans. However, nothing can stand in the way of God's loving will. Tertullian (150-220 A.D.) wrote, "[Do not begrudge] that which has been taken ... by the Lord God, without whom not a leaf can fall from a tree, nor a most worthless sparrow can fall to the earth. ."

The heavenly Father knows how to care for His children and will only allow what He thinks is good. We can rely on His infinite wisdom and goodness.

Therefore, we can say like David, "So I am ready, let him do to me what is good in his eyes" --DHR

When you're helpless in the vortex of life,
The power of God will sustain you;
Your weakened strength will be restored,
Because He is God who cares for you. --D. De Haan

WE CAN LEAVE OUR WORRY
WITH JESUS  BECAUSE GOD CARES
