SOLAR ENERGY

For you shall rise the sun of righteousness (Malachi 4:2)

I remember one day I got up really early to work in the garden. However, I found a thick fog covering the entire plain, blocking my view, even if it was only a few meters. The air was so humid that it was impossible for me to work. But my morning wake-up program was not in vain. While sitting on a crate of potatoes at the east-facing entrance of the barn, I witnessed a delightful and powerful sight: the sunrise.

At first there was a shift in the mist. As the sun radiates its light and warmth, the mist starts to rise up, and finally the sun is fully shining. The trees dripped with dew, and the many dewdrops on the grass and bushes shone like diamonds, in the reflection of the sun.

I sat transfixed, forgetting about the bean plants I planned to pick. I am reminded of my experience similar to that sunrise. I too have lived a foggy, lost and confused life until the Sun of Truth appeared in my heart. At first there was only a faint hope, and then one day the light shone and I saw the One who dispelled all my doubts and fears.

Likewise we today, like shining dewdrops, will reflect His light and glory. "If we live in the light" (1John 1:7), our neighbors will see the Son of God shining brightly through our lives and words [MRD]
