What a man sows, he will also reap (Galatians 6:7)
A children's book entitled The Chance World describes an imaginary planet where things happen unexpectedly. For example, the sun can rise all day or not rise at all, and can appear at any time. The moon can shine for several days. One day you can jump and not fall to the ground again. But then the next day the gravity becomes so strong that you can't even lift your legs.
A Scottish biologist, Henry Drummond, comments that in such a place, where the laws of nature do not apply, logic would be impossible to apply. It would be a crazy world, inhabited by crazy people.
We must be grateful for dependence on the laws of nature that have been established by the Creator. The laws of nature are of great benefit to us if we recognize and appreciate them. But if we violate the laws of nature, we will suffer the consequences.
This also applies to God's spiritual law, for example in today's reading. Those who ignore God's standards and then serve the desires of sin are doomed. But those who follow the leading of the Holy Spirit will experience the blessing of eternal life.
God's law never fails. Whatever happens, whether good or bad you will reap what you sow. Believe me! RWD
