EXERCISE FAITH

You see that faith cooperates with works, and by works faith is made perfect (James 2:22)

As Christians, we are often required to "not just talk", but "walk our talk". The same advice is also expressed in the following words: Do not let your behavior contradict the faith you believe in. On other occasions we are reminded to make sure that our lives are in line with our words. If our behavior is not consistent with our confession of faith, then that inconsistency will eliminate the testimony of the Gospel that we convey.

As we know, Mahatma Gandhi was never a Christian. However, he once made the statement that we, followers of Jesus, should think well of life. When asked to deliver a short message, he replied, “My life is my testimony.”

We need to explain the message of the Gospel as clearly as possible. However, even the most clear explanation, will not win the heart of those who hear it for God, if His love is not united in our lives. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Be my followers, just as I am also a follower of Christ." Because he placed himself as an example, he wrote in Philippians 4:9, "And what you have learned and what you have received, and what you have heard and what you have seen in me, do that. Then God the source of peace will be with you."

Pray that like Paul, we may prove our saving faith before a world that is watching our lives -- Vernon Grounds

THE WORLD IS WATCHING OUR LIVES
CAN THEY SEE JESUS IN US?
