He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified, they all come from One; that is why He is not ashamed to call them brothers (Hebrews 2:11)
There was a chorus of grunts after it was announced that our flight would be delayed by an hour and a half. Due to bad weather in Chicago, only a few planes were able to land. But not long after, another announcement made the crowd cheer up. We were told that there was a medical courier carrying the bone marrow needed for the transplant. This makes our flights a top priority for landing in Chicago. Within minutes we were off, carried along by someone's important mission.
As we landed and were ushered directly to the gate at OHare, one of the busiest airports, I then reflected on Jesus Christ, who through His death and resurrection, has made it possible for us to enter God’s presence. Only by faith in His work are we associated with Him and partaking of all that He has provided for us. The writer of Hebrews says that it is according to the nature of God ... who brings many people to glory, also perfects Jesus, who leads them to salvation, with suffering. For he that sanctifieth, and they who are sanctified, are all of one; that is why He is not ashamed to call them brothers (2: 10,11).
Every day, let us give thanks to God for the work of salvation done by Jesus Christ, whose love and sacrifice have brought us as well as to God the Father -DCM
