WHAT'S IN MY MOUTH?

At that time people among the nations will say, “The Lord has done great things for these people” (Psalm 126: 2).

Communication experts say that the average person speaks enough words every day to fill 20 single-spaced pages. This means that our mouths spit out enough words to fill 2 volumes of 300 pages of paper every month, 24 books every year, and 1,200 books in 50 years of speaking. With the telephone, voicemail, and face-to-face conversation, words fill a large part of our lives. That's why, the type of words we use is very important.

The psalmist’s mouth was full of praise as he wrote Psalm 126. God had done great things for David and his people. Even the surrounding nations acknowledge it. Remembering God's blessing, David said, "At that time our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues with shouts of joy" (verse 2).

What words would you use in verse 3 if you were the writer of this Psalm? Often our attitude may be something like this: “God has done great things for me, and I -
.... can't remember a single thing right now. "

.... was guessing what He was going to do for me next."
...wanted for more."

Or would you end it by saying, "I praise and thank Him for His goodness"? If you remember God's grace today, express your praise to Him -AMC
